Newick Amateur Dramatic Society (NADS) is an award winning community theatre group based in the picturesque village of Newick, East Sussex.

We stage two main productions each year in May and December, performed in the welcoming surroundings of Newick Village Hall.

Founded in 1929 by local nurseryman Lionel Cox, NADS has a long and proud theatrical history. The Village Hall itself was originally built as a theatre in 1932, where the legendary Sir Dirk Bogarde made his acting debut. He later becoming Honorary President of the society.

Today NADS is run by around 30 enthusiastic volunteers who share a love of theatre and community. From acting and directing to set building and front-of-house, it’s a true team effort that brings our productions to life.

When you come to a NADS show you can expect a warm welcome, a licensed bar, and a great night of local theatre.
