Every year NADS hosts a much-loved Murder Mystery Evening — that’s as entertaining for the audience as it is for the cast!
Usually held in early September, the evening begins with a short play where, inevitably, someone meets a rather unfortunate end. Once the crime has been committed, the real fun begins. Guests are invited to bring along their own picnic to enjoy while trying to solve the mystery. If you prefer, tea, coffee, cakes and ice creams are on sale and, of course, the bar is open as usual. Between mouthfuls you have the chance to question the suspects, gather clues and work with your table to figure out who did it, how they did it… and why. Expect plenty of twists, turns and red herrings, although the ever-reliable Inspector Foot of the Yard will be on hand to keep the investigation on track. Tickets usually go on sale from mid-July, and the evening often sells out quickly — so keep an eye out!
